Home Infusion/Pharmacy

The Visiting Nurse Association is one of Omaha's largest providers of home care. Our home infusion services provide intravenous therapy in the home setting helping our patients to reach the highest level of independence possible.

Our clinicians assess patients before they are discharged from the hospital whenever possible, and then develop, in conjunction with the physician, a plan of care specifically stating the medications prescribed, mode of infusion, duration of care, and prognosis.

As an integral part of the infusion service, patients and caregivers also receive complete education about their plan of care to help us achieve our goal of teaching them to become as independent as possible. We provide home-based compassionate and quality clinical care to patients with:

  • Infectious Diseases
  • Cancer
  • Gastrointestinal Diseases
  • Chronic or Terminal Pain
  • Immune Deficiencies
  • Cardiovascular Diseases
  • Chronic Genetic Diseases
  • Pre- or Post-Transplantation
