VNA nurses address chronic health problems of homeless men, women and children and provide the following:

  • Assessment of health needs
  • First aid and injury care
  • Monitor chronic health conditions
  • Education on nutrition and hygiene
  • Early and regular prenatal care
  • Positive parenting and child care
  • Adult and well-child care and immunizations

In addition, the public health nurses make referrals to healthcare providers and other community agencies.
