Visiting Nurse Associations of America

VNAA is the official national association for not-for-profit, community based home health organizations known as Visiting Nurse Associations. VNAs have a united mission to bring compassionate, high quality, and cost-effective home care to individuals in their respective communities.

Honeywell HomMed

VNA is the exclusive provider of HomMed, a daily home monitoring device, in Omaha and the surrounding communities. Daily home monitoring is for everyone, but especially benefit those individuals with chronic illnesses such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, pulmonary diseases, or are frequently hospitalized and have changeable medical conditions. United Way of the Midlands

The VNA has been a member agency with the United Way since 1921. Find information on the United Way Campaign, links to all member agencies, and volunteer opportunities.

2-1-1

This is an easy way to locate information about a wide variety of health and social services across the state of Nebraska, and information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Find information for asssitance with such things as rent, utilites, food, counceling, support groups, and much more. The website is a handy resource for people trying to find services for themselves, or a friend or relative in another Nebraska community.  Professionals also find the website useful as a “one stop shop” to help connect clients with available services. 

Community Health Charities (CHC)

CHC is a federation of local health agencies including Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association, and Arthritis Association to name a few. Find community health links, program information, and additional resources.

Our Healthy Community Partnership (OHCP)

OHCP is an organization whose goal is to improve the health of Douglas and Sarpy Counties through a community-driven process. This is accomplished by partnering with neighborhoods to work together to identify community assets, prioritize the issues, and develop solutions that rely on the assets of the community. 

Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM)

Its purpose is to establish a strong, unified voice for nonprofit agencies that demonstrate and assert leadership, advocacy and service in response to community and organizational needs.

CIMRO of Nebraska

CIMRO of Nebraska is the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Nebraska . QIOs provide services that will enhance the quality of healthcare delivered to Medicare beneficiaries.

Nebraska Association of Home and Community Health Agencies (NAHCHA)

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO)

The NHPCO is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States . The organization is committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their families.

Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association (NHPCA)

The NHPCA mission is to assure accessibility to quality hospice services for all individuals in Nebraska by providing public education about hospice and by serving as a resource, support system, and advocate for patients, families and our members.

Share Our Strength, one of the nation's leading anti-hunger, anti-poverty organizations, meets immediate demands for food, while investing in long-term solutions. Since its founding in 1984, Share Our Strength has distributed more than $55 million in grants to over 1,000 organizations in the United States , Canada and around the world. In 1993, Share Our Strength founded Operation Frontline, an innovative program that trains volunteer chefs and nutritionists to teach six-week cooking, nutrition and food budgeting classes to people at-risk of hunger and malnutrition in 90 communities nationwide.

NebraskAccess

NebraskAccess offers free online access to current magazines, journals, newspapers, genealogy and business information to all Nebraska residents. The Nebraska Library Commission provides these resources with funding from the State of Nebraska.
